Picture 1. The Water Pressure Test for the Steel Pressure Pipe

At 8:00 am, June 5, 2020, the Overall Water Pressure Test for the branch pipe of the steel pressure pipe, in Laos Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Station which was contracted and constructed by CHMC, began.  The steel pressure pipe is designed to be divided into 3 branch pipes to supply water to 3 generators, and the designed pressure in the branch pipe is 5.4MPa. After 16 hours’ water-filled boost, the Water Pressure Test was successfully finished at 24:00 pm, June 5, in which the manufacture and installation quality of the steel pressure pipe met the design specification requirements. The accomplishment of the Water Pressure Test forged a solid foundation for the following installation of the steel pressure pipe in the Project.
