Recently CHMC Cambodia East Loop Net (Phase Ⅰ) Project obtained the Certificate of Completion which was signed and issued by Electricité du Cambodge(EDC). It symbolized that CHMC had smoothly completed all the Contract content of the Project.

The Contract of the East Loop Net (Phase Ⅰ) Project was signed in October 2016, and became effective in November 2017; the Project construction officially began in April 2018. The Project includes the construction of two new substations, extension of one booster station, the construction of the 230kV transmission line (double-circuit on one tower) with a length of 275km. The Project area covers 4 provinces in north-eastern Cambodia. CHMC Project Department overcame the adverse climatic effects of the local tropical rainy season and the construction challenges posed by the harsh environment of the pristine forests, strictly controlled the survey design, drawing review, land requisition, project construction and management, closely coordinated each process in the construction.  Through the unremitting efforts of all the members in CHMC Project Department, the Project was completed ahead of schedule; and the established safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives of the Project were successfully achieved, which were recognized and affirmed by the owners.

The completion of the East Loop Net (Phase Ⅰ) Project has greatly alleviated the shortage of electricity supply in the northeast of Cambodia and helped Cambodia achieve the planning goal of one substation in each province.

After the completion, CHMC Project Department will actively organize to carry out the Project summary, sum up experiences, further improve the project management, execution ability and level, to lay a foundation for the better completion of follow-up projects, and contribute their own strength to the high quality and sustainable development of CHMC.
