On March 24, 2022, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Managing Director of Electricité du Cambodge (EDC), H.E. Keo Rottanak, and officials of the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, arrived at the reservoir of Tatay Hydropower Station which was contracted and constructed by CHMC, carrying out the fish releasing activity.

Totally 5 species, more than 60,000 tails of fishes were released to Tatay Hydropower reservoir this time, and the proportion of fish species and fish body shape were rather scientific. This release significantly increased the number of fish populations in Tatay River basin, and played a positive role in protecting the environment and maintaining the aquatic biodiversity and stability.

CHMC always attached great importance to the protection of the ecological environment and actively performed its social responsibilities. While producing the clean energy and vigorously promoting the local economic and social development in Cambodia, CHMC actively carried out various measures such as planting trees and grasses, animal protection and breeding and stocking, which had achieved good results. This time, the fact EDC chose to carry out the fish releasing activity in Tatay Hydropower reservoir, was a full affirmation to the good ecological environment protection work of Tatay Hydropower Station.
