On November 22, 2024, the Chinese Workshop of CHMC Cambodia Tatay Hydropower Station officially opened. Zhao Zijian, Vice Dean of School of International Education, North China Electric Power University, presided over the opening of the training class. More than 30 Chinese and Cambodian employees working at Tatay Hydropower Station in Cambodia, participated in the study.
The training takes the form of online explanation and on-site translation. Liu Baozhu, professor of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of North China Electric Power University, gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of North China Electric Power University through video lectures, and combined with the actual situation of Tatay Hydropower Station, focusing on the basic composition and function of the power system, the basic requirements for the operation of the power system, the basic structure of the power network and power lines, the basic types and main equipment of the hydropower station, etc. The basic knowledge of power system is explained in a simple but effective way.
The Cambodian employees who participated in the training thanked for providing them with learning opportunities, and said that through this training, they had a deeper understanding of the power system, learned more professional knowledge of hydropower station, and helped to improve their ability to solve practical problems in their work and further improve the quality and efficiency of their work.
Next, the Chinese Workshop of Tatay Hydropower Station in Cambodia will offer vocational skills, Chinese language and Chinese culture courses in accordance with relevant work arrangements, to help Cambodia cultivate high-level talents with complex technical skills, and build a platform for Chinese enterprises to jointly build the Belt and Road with high quality.
CHMC and North China Electric Power University will further deepen cooperation in personnel training, scientific research and other aspects, promote the continuous integration of talent training, scientific research and cultural exchanges in Cambodia's energy and power industry into the international development pattern, and help Chinese enterprises "go globally".
