On October 23, 2025, the successful hoisting and installation of the first generator rotor was completed at Cambodian Upper Tatay Hydropower Station. Invested in and constructed by CHMC, the project reached this major milestone 38 days ahead of schedule, signaling the official commencement of the generating unit's final assembly phase.

In the upcoming work, the team will continue to uphold rigorous safety and quality standards while scientifically organizing the subsequent installation of mechanical & electrical equipment and metal structure. These efforts ensure that the project will begin power generation on schedule in 2026, further deepening China-Cambodia energy cooperation and contributing to local economic and social development.
