On January 22, as the rotor of Generating Unit 2 was precisely lowered into the turbine pit, the hoisting of the last major core component for the Upper Tatay Hydropower Station, invested and constructed by CHMC, was successfully completed 13 days ahead of schedule. This marks that the construction of the Upper Tatay Hydropower Station has entered the final sprint stage before being put into operation.

Upholding the spirit of craftsmanship and continuous refinement, the construction team will advance in close coordination the remaining civil engineering, electromechanical, and metal structure installation works. The team remains committed to bringing the project into full commercial operation on schedule in 2026, delivering clean, reliable power to fuel Cambodia’s economic and social development, and writing a new chapter for the friendship between China and Cambodia.
