On March 18, with the final concrete placement, the dam face slab concrete works of the Cambodian Upper Tatay Hydropower Station, invested and constructed by CHMC, reached a successful conclusion. Since the first bucket of concrete was poured on October 24, 2025, the construction team successfully completed all construction tasks after 145 consecutive days of sustained effort, laying a solid foundation for the project’s following reservoir impoundment.
The successful completion of the face slab concrete pouring is a fruitful result of the construction team’s collaboration and perseverance in overcoming difficulties. It also serves as strong evidence of all participating parties’ commitment to quality and the creation of an exemplary project. The achievement of this critical milestone will further accelerate the overall construction pace of the Upper Tatay Hydropower Station to bring the project online sooner, fueling the development of the Tatay River Basin Green Energy Base while bolstering pragmatic energy cooperation between China and Cambodia.
