For the past several days, Cambodia East Loop Net (Phase Ⅱ)EPC Project (abbreviated as East Loop Ⅱ hereinafter)which was contracted and constructed by CHMC, continuously accomplished the installation of main transformer, power transmission of some substations and lines, and other nodes. It laid the foundation for East Loop Ⅱ to actualize power transmission of the whole line.

On May 19, 2021, the main transformer of Phnom Penh East Substation of East Loop Ⅱ, was loaded on vehicle at Sihanouk Port, and then was successfully transported to the site and installed. On May 20, 2021, Tatay Hydropower Station started to transmit power to Cambodian Capital Phnom Penh and the Sihanouk Special Economic Region. On May 25, 2021, the new built Kampong Thum Substation, the Kampong Cham Extension Substation, as well as the subsidiary transmission lines ( W Section of the West-South Loop Net), successfully began the live operation.

The operation of the lines mentioned above, realized the power transmission from Tatay Hydropower Station to Phnom Penh and the Sihanouk Special Economic Region, which greatly improved the stability of power supply network in central and eastern Cambodia, enhanced power transmission capacity, provided high-quality electricity for residents along and surrounding industrial parks, and made positive contributions to improve local people's livelihood and promote the regional industrial development and commercial trade.

CHMC East Loop Ⅱ Project Department and CHMC Storage and Transportation Department, fully implemented the requirements of 'Efficiency Improvement Year' Action Plan of CHMC, carefully organized, meticulously managed. In view of 'Coming Early, Going Late, Heavy Rain', the raining season characteristics in the Cambodian mountain area, CHMC in advance planned and scientifically constructed, tried best to overcome adverse factors such as the road closure, ship changes, changeable weather, the complex terrain and the repeated epidemic, finally ensured the live operation of the above lines, and provided a strong support to relieve the shortage of the local power supply.
