The transportation industry has always played an important role in economic and social development. CHMC has engaged in transportation infrastructure construction by contracting projects both within China and abroad, including large port terminals for coal, ore, grain, fertilizer, cassava and containers. As part of these projects, CHMC provides turn-key services in terms of design, geological surveys, civil construction, equipment design and manufacturing, construction and commission, pilot operation and the construction of private raw material wharfs for steel plants, cement plants, power stations, roads, railways and airports.
CHMC has actively participated in railway construction projects, and won bids for 40 single projects, including the Wuhan-Guangzhou Railway, the Guilou Railway, the Xikang Railway, the Shuohuang Railway, the Shenyan Railway, the Baolan Railway, the Xihe Railway, the Yuhuai Railway, the Luozhang Railway, the Wenfu Electrified Railway, the Zhengxi Railway, the Taizhong Railway, the Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway, the Xianggui Railway, the Jituhu Railway, the Guizhou-Guangzhou Railway, the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, the Yunnan-Guizhou Railway, the Zhangjiakou-Hohhot Railway and the Harbin-Jiamusi Railway. Included among the projects CHMC has worked on are 10 high-speed railway projects.
Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport is the main hub airport of Gansu Province, and the first airport in the western region to be rebuilt and expanded following the implementation of the strategy of Western Development. CHMC was awarded a contract for the construction of heating, cooling and sewage treatment systems in the expansion project of Zhongchuan Airport, providing complete sets of equipment and technical services for boilers, cooling towers and sewage treatment systems.
The Myanmar Thanlwin Moulmein Bridge project is located in Myanmar and is owned by the Municipal Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Construction of Myanmar. It is a truss continuous railway-highway dual-purpose bridge with a total length of 2,346.5 meters, built by the Myanmar government through an international bidding process. As the general contractor of the project, CHMC’s responsibilities include design, equipment supply and installation guidance for the bridge.
Guangxi Beibuwan International Port Group Corporation is mainly engaged in port construction, operation and management, railway transportation, road transportation and other related fields. It provides safe, efficient and convenient port services for the western development and economic development of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. Additionally, CHMC has provided various types of portal cranes, quayside bridges and quayside container cranes for the newly built quays of the Fangcheng Port Area of Guangxi Beibuwan International Port Group Corporation, the Dalangping Port Area of Qinzhou and the Tieshan Port Area.
CHMC engaged in co-manufacturing with foreign partners to provide 40 tons of container handling bridges for the South Carolina Port Authority of the United States, the Rizhao Port Authority of Shandong Province, the Fangcheng Port Authority of Guangxi Province and the Jiangdu Shipyard.
