It is a demonstrating project of slab project of Kunming Steel undertaken by CHMC for technical support and service supply. It was successful in first hot load trial run on
CHMC offered technical support and supervision to this project. Beijing Iron & Steel Design Institute was responsible for design of technology, equipment, and electrical system. Main equipment were manufactured by the 2nd Heavy Machinery Works, Dalian Heavy Machinery Works, Changzhou Metallurgical Machinery Works, Xian Metallurgical Machinery Works, LISHILE of Changzhou, 636 Factory of Changchun. Construction was responsible by 18th Metallurgical Installation Company. It took only one year from start to hot load trial run of this whole continuous casting project, created a miracle of construction of slab continuous caster in one year.
As technical specialist group of the user, CHMC participated in the whole process of technical service of this project. From the confirmation of technical parameter of processing plant at early stage, selection of equipment, evaluation of bid documents, signing of equipment supply contract, to solve problem discovered in manufacture, technical assistance in installation and commissioning, work of CHMC was all appreciated by the user and organizations concerned. Mr. Yin, vice chairman of the board of directors of Kunming Steel Group said in the celebration meeting: "CHMC is really professional, the practice proves that we made a correct selection."
Due to the excellent technical service offered by CHMC, Kunming Steel invited us to participate in technical preparation of consequent RH Refinery project.
