CHMC and Tendering Center of Shandong province jointly invite international bidding. As the buyer, CHMC also provides technical service for the complete set of equipment for the 215mm slab caster project for Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corporation. The continuous caster was successfully commissioned on March 1st, 2003, produces slab in the first try, and officially put into production. Nowadays,  daily output reached 2300 t，fulfilled the designed capacity, it is predicted that the output can be increased.

Contract mode of Jinan Iron & Steel Group Corporation is: three kinds of work, tendering (domestic, international), import agent, packaged technology service, should be undertaken by a strong company. It is an exploration and experience for CHMC in metallurgical engineering projects.   Realization of this new mode provides certain experience to future metallurgical projects.

For Jinan Steel project, from technical negotiation, equipment tendering, contract negotiation, design liaison, domestic equipment purchase, supervision of manufacture, installation and trial run, to the success of hot load trial run, it took us years. CHMC's effort and high efficient work have been greatly appreciated by leaders of Jinan Steel and all concerned people. Those participated in this project worked very hard, took care of users' concerns, acted in time and quickly responded in high efficiency, demonstrating the high management level.
