In succession of converter, refinery, continuous casting, General Manager Li Changshun of Jinan Steel officially indicated to General Manager Lu that CHMC will be entrusted to conduct packaged technology service for the whole cold rolling project. It includes double stand reversing cold mill unit, leveling unit, pickling line unit, hood type furnace, recoiler and decoiler, roll grinder. For the moment, technology negotiation is going on, double stand cold rolling and leveling unit is planned to open bid by end of June, contract will be signed in early July. Technical negotiation and tendering of the pickling, cover furnace, recoiler and decoiler, roll grinder will proceed in succession. Jinan Steel has officially entrusted CHMC to conduct international tendering for the double stand unit and leveling unit.

It is planned to put the cold rolling project into production in early 2005, annual output of quality cold rolled strip is 840,000 ton.

Thanks to the excellent work in previous stages and favorable relationship between leaders of two sides, CHMC was awarded with this project. Our department will use this opportunity, go all out, under the leadership of CHMC management, fulfill the work of cold rolling project of Jinan Steel. We will try to confirm scope of work of cold rolling project, sign service agreement of packaged technology of whole cold rolling project of Jinan Steel as early as possible.
