In the morning of July 1, 2003，inauguration ceremony of  Phase I project “ hot rolling ultra thin strip project" of  Tonghua Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. was held in Tonghua Steel. Mr. Xue Fei, Party Committee Secretary of CHMC led a 5-member delegation attended the ceremony.

Hot rolling ultra thin strip project (phase I) is the primary stage of hot rolling ultra thin strip continuous casting tandem rolling mill, including molten iron pretreatment, converter, LH refine and auxiliary, will be put into production by the end of 2004.

For the moment， international tender documents of the first construction phase of molten iron pretreatment, converter sub lance, converter blower fan, LH furnace have been submitted, and the tender will be opened on July 25. Domestic tendering of equipment will be proceeded soon.
