On February 25, 2004, in way of outright purchase, CHMC  signed contract with Tonghua Iron & Steel Corporation  and Shanghai Heavy Machinery Works for supply of technological process line equipment of roughing and finishing zones of sheet slab continuous casting and rolling mill in Tonghua Steel. Equipment of this project is designed by Mitubish - Hitachi, drawings are converted by Shanghai Heavy Machinery Works. The total weight of equipment is about 5,000 tons. Equipment includes descaling system of roughing and finishing mill, edging mill, 2 stand roughing mills, 5 stand finishing mills, roll changing system of roughing & finishing, bearing seat of rolling mill, recoiler system, coil handling system. Delivery of the equipment shall be from March to August of 2005.

Signing of this contract demonstrates CHMC strategy to take the advantage of large scale renovation in metallurgical industry in China and expanding business. According to this Contract, CHMC will be responsible for all the execution of this project. Now the machining are all fully engaged. Whether the delivery in time is a big challenge for the project manager. Under the leadership of CHMC, the execution department will strengthen management, conscientiously perform contractual obligation, go all out to implement this project to ensure satisfactory quality and time delivery.
