The 700t/h Grab-bucket ship un-loader exported to Philippine for the TOLEDO coal-fired power plant project, contracted between CHMC and Formosa Plastics Corporation, arrived in TOLEDO power station on January 5, 2010 and rolled on dock on January 14.
After the on-site no-load commissioning, the coal discharging and the load test started on March 6.
The 700t/h performance test passed on April 6 .
The Ship un-loader had discharged 5 ships of coal and the operation stayed stable and smooth.
The whole machine was shipped by CHMC to Philippine, and this was the first time for CHMC to ship the complete set of the machine.
In order to avoid risks, the project team organized manufacturers and the transportation company to formulate the rolling on-rolling off plan, the banding plan and the transportation plan. They also invited experts evaluating the scheme, inspecting the banding on site, and corrected the banding plan according to the expertise.
During the transportation, the team paid great attention to the process and weather. After the ship un-loader arrived in TOLEDO Power Station in safe, all team personnel breathed a sigh of relief.
During the 700t/h performance test, the owner coal ship was of 4000 to 8000 tons while our ship unloader was designed for 60000 tons. So the ship unloader efficiency was low and the actions were dumb; the operator was also not professional. It was difficult to pass the test.
The project team asked the owner to meet the design requirements for the coal ship, adopted measures to improve efficiency, including training operation drivers, adjusting parts of the ship un-loader structure. Finally we passed the 700t/h test even the coal ship could not meet the design requirements.
