EPC Contract Coming into Effect for Cambodian Medium Voltage Rural Grid Extension (Phase I) & Substations

Since December 13th, 2010, CHMC and Electricity DU Cambodia (EDC) signed the “ Medium Voltage Rural Grid Extension Phase 1 & Sub-stations EPC Contract”, Electric Power Business Unit of CHMC has been actively promoting the progress of the project by signing the project design and service contract with Cambodian EM Construction Import Export Co., Ltd., and, by means of two tendering, signing the agreements with Fujian Jianshi Electric Power Line Equipment Co., Ltd. and Jining Longchang Cement Products Co., Ltd. to locally invest, produce and supply cement electricity poles in Cambodia, which have all laid a solid foundation for the project startup.

On 15th September, 2011, all the advance payments for the project from the Cambodian owner and China EXIM Bank were received, signifying the Cambodian Medium Voltage Rural Grid Extension Phase 1 & Substations EPC Contract coming into effect. The project commencement ceremony will be held in Cambodia recently.
