EPC CONTRACT SIGNING OF CAMBODIA RUAL GRID EXPANSION PROJECT (PHASE II)

On Jan. 24th, 2014, CHMC and Electricite DU Cambodge(EDC) signed the EPC Contract of the Cambodia Rural Grid Expansion Project (Phase II), and the ceremony was attended by representatives from the two companies: Dr. Praing Chulasa (Vice President of EDC), Mr. Nget Sokhan (Purchasing Manager of EDC), Mr. Wang Weiguo (Vice President of CHMC), Mr. Xu Yunpeng (Deputy GM of the Electric Business Unit of CHMC).

The Rural Grid Project shall use the preferential Buyer’s credit provided by Chinese government, and its scope of supply includes: 750km large-capacity 3-phase overhead lines, 50km underground cables, 15km underground cable going through the river, etc. The Project is scheduled to be started in 2014, and put into operation in 2017.

In recent years, CHMC had been committed to exploring the Cambodia market in a comprehensive and deep manner, actively participates in its infrastructure construction by getting involved in the power grid upgrading project, transmitting the power into each village to improve the local people’s life. This contract singing signified the 4th EPC Power Transmission and Distribution Project won by CHMC in Cambodia market, marks the successful implementation of the company’s strategy of Regional Rolling Development.

CHMC shall actively perform his responsibility by contributing his effort to Cambodia development, and realize the win-win result in a down-to-earth and persistent manner during the Project development and execution.
