CHMC and China Embassy in Cambodia Donated Office Equipment to Cambodia Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy

On Oct.20, CHMC and China Embassy in Cambodia, donated some office equipment to Cambodia Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy, to improve the office conditions in the Ministry. Mr. Suy Sem, Minister of the Cambodia Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy, Ms. Bu Jianguo, Ambassador of China Embassy in Cambodia, and Mr. Zhu Xu, General Manager of Cambodia Stung Tatay Hydropower Company, were present in the donation ceremony.
In her speech, Ms. Bu Jianguo said that as a newly-established department in Cambodia new government, the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy, undertook the task to develop the mining, energy and other important industries in Cambodia. This time, China Embassy in Cambodia donated 10 laptop computers and 1 printer, and CHMC donated 20 desktop computers and 20 printers, which, she thought, could improve the working condition to certain degree, for the Ministry. Ms. Bu Jianguo said that in the recent years, Chinese companies had become an important force in investing in Cambodia. Among these, the investment in electricity power was a bright point. Chinese electricity power companies had been cooperated closely with Cambodia Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy, and had achieved a lot. The built electricity power stations, grids, had served the Cambodia people well and had transmitted the clean electricity power to thousands of Cambodian families, even to many remote rural areas which enabled people there to use electricity power for the first time. Meanwhile, the development of the electricity power in Cambodian also efficiently promoted the development of other industries, and significantly improved the investment environment in Cambodia. Ambassador Bu also stated that China would go on cooperating with Cambodia to strengthen the grid construction, deliver electricity power to more remote villages, enable more Cambodian people accessible to electricity power. She stressed that the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia would pass on generation after generation, and China would, with the utmost sincerity, promote the Overall Strategy Partner Relations between China and Cambodia to go on developing.
Mr. Suy Sem, the Minister, showed his gratitude to China Embassy in Cambodia and CHMC for their donation. He said that China had provided Cambodiaa great quantity of precious support and help to the development and construction of Cambodia. The Stung Tatay Hydropower Station, invested and constructed by CHMC, with an installation capacity of 246MW, had been accomplished ahead of time, and now 3 set of units were operating to generate electricity power, with an annual power output of 858 million kWh. It contributed to the popularization of power supply in Cambodia.
In the donation ceremony, CHMC vice Present, Mr. Zhu Xu, said that CHMC mainly focused on electricity power projects in Cambodia industry, and had contracted 2 electricity power transmission and transformation projects, 2 rural grid extension projects and the Stung Tatay Hydropower Station BOT project, with a total amount of over USD 800 million. Among them, the Stung Tatay Hydropower Station BOT project had been accomplished and achieved power generation in August this year. Mr. Zhu Xu, on behalf of CHMC, showed thanks to China Embassy in Cambodia and Cambodia Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy, for their support. Mr. Zhu Xu stressed that CHMC would keep on making great efforts to implement the constructing projects well, to operate the Stung Tatay Hydropower Station successfully. CHMC would display a good image of Chinese companies through its practical action, benefit Cambodian people and bring glory to the friendship between the two countries.
