I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on the occasion of CHMC’s 35th anniversary, and send my most sincere greetings to the whole CHMC’s management and all CHMC’s staffs.

Five years ago, I was fully confident that CHMC would accomplish the construction of Tatay Hydropower Station invested by you and put it into commercial operation in an early manner. Up to now, you have made this grand goal come true with glorious achievements.

Cambodia and China enjoys a long-standing and well-established friendship. For quite a long time, China has offered tremendous support and help to Cambodia’s peace, development, and rejuvenation. And CHMC has made great contributions to Cambodia’s infrastructure construction, especially in the energy field, and has produced remarkable results.

Cambodia has always taken China as our important friend and strategic partner, and promoting the bilateral cooperation is our primary goal of the diplomatic policy, so as to uphold the Cambodia’s political peace and stability, social development, and improve people’s livelihood. I hope Cambodia and China can conduct wider cooperation in fields of economy, society, and etc., and the two countries shall, in view of the “One Belt One Road” strategic plan, continuously advance the transportation development, including the waterway transport and air transport, promote the strategic cooperation of the interconnection and interworking, and deepen and extend cooperation in critical sectors, such as trade, health, agriculture, natural disaster relief, and the like.

In the end, I warmly welcome CHMC and other companies to continue to increase the investment in Cambodia, and further consolidate the bilateral long-term communication and cooperation.
