CHMC SIGNED EPC CONTRACT FOR LAO NN4 HYDROPOWER PROJECT

CHMC and Electricite Du Laos (EDL) recently signed the EPC Contract of the Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Project (hereinafter referred to as “Project”) in Vientiane, Laos. Mr. Lu Wenjun, Board director and President of CHMC, Mr. Sisavath, Managing Director of EDL, on behalf of the two companies, affixed their signatures on relevant documents.


The project site sits in Xieng Khouang Province, and is designed to install 3 units of 80MWfrancisturbine, with total installing capacity of 240MW, and 66 months to complete. The project is expected to use Buyer’s concessional credit from China EX-IM Bank. The completion of the Project shall further meet the growing electric power demand in Laos, and impels the local economic and social development.


The signature of the Project is another success following the other two transmission line projects contracted by CHMC in Laos, and reflects CHMC’S “Regional Progressive Development” strategy, further establishes CHMC’s brand, consolidates CHMC’s market standing in Laos, especially in terms of the competitive advantage in field of electric power, which all lays more solid foundation on the project development in the Lao future market.
