On June 16, 2016, CHMC Starting-up Meeting of Cambodia South-west Loop Line Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project(Phase Ⅰ), was held, in the Electricite Du Cambodge (EDC) meeting room. The Meeting was presided over by General Manger of EDC Procurement Department, and Mr. Wang Weiguo, CHMC vice President, was present in the Meeting. The representatives from Cambodian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Cambodian Ministry of Economy & Finance, EDC and CHMC Project administrators, attended the Meeting. The holding of CHMC Starting-up Meeting of Cambodia South-west Loop Line (Phase Ⅰ), marked that the 6th EPC Electrical Project which was contracted by CHMC, had officially begun to be implemented.

In the Starting-up Meeting, Mr. Wang Weiguo, CHMC vice President, expressed his thanks to EDC, Cambodian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Cambodian Ministry of Economy & Finance, for their trust in and support to CHMC. Mr. Wang Weiguo said that the Cambodia South-west Loop Line (Phase Ⅰ) Project was the largest in the contract value, among those which CHMC was currently implementing in Cambodia, and CHMC would provide a strong execution team to carry out the related work well. Mr. Wang Weiguo introduced the CHMC management team who implemented the Cambodia South-west Loop Line (Phase Ⅰ) Project, to Cambodian Parities. Mr. Wang Weiguo stressed that the CHMC Project management team shall continue to cooperate closely with EDC, to ensure that a modernized and high quality Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project shall be delivered to EDC in schedule, so that Cambodian state grid would be accomplished soon, which would contribute to the friendship between Chinese and Cambodian. Subsequently, Mr. Li Yi, the Deputy General Manager of CHMC Marketing Developing Business Unit, as well as the Project Manager of the Cambodia South-west Loop Line (Phase Ⅰ), introduced the Project general situations, design and construction preparation. Mr. Li Yi expressed that he would lead the Project team, finishing the Project in schedule and in a high quality.  

General Manger of EDC Procurement Department, stated that EDC had been cooperated with CHMC pleasantly for many years, and EDC was very satisfied with those Projects which were currently under implementation by CHMC. He also showed thanks to Chinese government and CHMC. General Manger of EDC Procurement Department, stated that EDC would strengthen the cooperation with CHMC, to expedite the Project construction, make efforts to finish the Project as soon as possible, so that it would change the electricity shortage in Cambodia and would bring benefit to the local people.
