On January 19, 2017, CHMC and Electricité Du Cambodge (abbreviated as EDC hereinafter) signed the Memorandum of “Establishing CHMC Scholarship”. CHMC President, Mr. Xiao Ping, and EDC Managing Director H.E. Keo Rottanak, respectively on behalf of each Party, signed the Memorandum. Mr. Li An, the Economic Counselor of Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, was present and witnessed the signature.
Managing Director H.E. Keo Rottanak showed his sincere thanks to CHMC for the Scholarship Plan.
CHMC President, Mr. Xiao Ping stated: CHMC would establish one scholarship and plan an annual short-term training for EDC in China; the signature of the Memorandum symbolized that the cooperation between CHMC and EDC stepped forward to a new stage.
Mr. Xiao Ping also stated: the “Establishing CHMC Scholarship” Plan is aimed to introduce Chinese advanced electrical technology, at the same time, further train more specialized talents for electrical facilities construction and operation for Cambodia, promote the Cambodian electrical power industry to develop more speedily and robustly. As the founder, CHMC would attach great importance to the Scholarship, and make a positive operation, to ensure that the Scholarship Plan to be implemented smoothly, and train advanced talents for Cambodia. CHMC hoped to continue to closely cooperate with EDC managing the Scholarship successfully, contribute more to the prosperous development of Cambodia, the happy life of Cambodian people, and the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia.
For years, Cambodian government had been vigorously focusing on developing national economy, strengthening the infrastructure construction and electrical power construction and improving people’s living. After the signature of the Memorandum, CHMC would train more specialized talents for electrical facilities construction and operation for Cambodia, promote the Cambodian electrical power industry to develop more speedily and robustly, to achieve the aim “Year 2030 lights up each village and each country in Kingdom of Cambodia.
