On January 17, 2017, the Kick-off Meeting of the Cambodian Rural Grid Extension (PhaseⅤ and PhaseⅥ) EPC Project, was held. PRAING Chulasa, Ph. D, Deputy Managing Director of Electricité Du Cambodge (abbreviated as EDC hereinafter), presided over the meeting, and CHMC Deputy President, Mr. Wang Weiguo, was present in the meeting. The representative from Cambodian Ministry of Mines and Energy, EDC officials, the management staffs of CHMC Rural Project, attended the meeting.
In the meeting, CHMC Deputy President, Mr. Wang Weiguo, first showed his thanks to EDC and Cambodian Ministry of Mines and Energy, for their long time trust and support. Mr. Wang Weiguo stated that CHMC would provide better facilities and services in the Rural Grid Extension (PhaseⅤ and PhaseⅥ) Project, and CHMC management staffs would closely cooperate with EDC, working hard to try to finish the Project one year ahead of the schedule, with a good quality.
PRAING Chulasa, Ph. D stated that EDC and CHMC had a very good cooperation for the past years; he was very satisfied with the implementing projects, and he especially said high praise of the Rural Grid Project (PhaseⅠand PhaseⅡ), which had been accomplished ahead of the schedule. PRAING Chulasa, Ph. D hoped that CHMC would make use of its profound implementing experience, to speed the construction, try to accomplish the Rural Grid Extension (PhaseⅤ and PhaseⅥ)Project as soon as possible, so as to change the local power shortage situation, and benefit the local people.
The Kick-off Meeting of the Cambodian Rural Grid Extension (PhaseⅤ and PhaseⅥ)Project, signified that the 7th EPC electrical power project which was constructed by CHMC in Cambodia, officially started to be implemented.
