On May 13, 2017, Cambodian Delegation of the “One Belt One Road” International Cooperation Summit headed by Prime Minister Mr. Hun Sen, met CHMC President Mr. Lu Wenjun and other CHMC personnel in Beijing.
President Lu Wenjun reported the operation situation in Tatay Hydropower Station and the implementation situation of the Power Transmission and Transformation Projects, to Prime Minister Mr. Hun Sen. Mr. Lu Wenjun said that he himself had visited Cambodia over 50 times in the past year 10 years, and the rapid and great change in Cambodia expressed him very deeply. Led correctly by Prime Minister Mr. Hun Sen, Cambodia enjoys a peaceful and stable political circumstance, as well as a high-speed developing economical circumstance, and Cambodian people’s living standard has been significantly improved; it also enforces the confidence and determination in Chinese enterprises, to invest in Cambodia. President Lu Wenjun stated: by correct guidance from Prime Minister Hun Sen, CHMC would devote more to Cambodian infrastructure construction, contribute more to Cambodian economical development and the Cambodian people's livelihood improvement.
Prime Minister Hun Sen highly affirmed that CHMC had made outstanding contributions to Cambodian economical high-speed development in the past 10 years, and he also showed his thanks and praise to CHMC for its continuous participation in Cambodian public donations in the past years. Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that CHMC not only successfully invested and constructed the maximum stand-alone capacity hydropower station in Cambodia, and operated continuously and steadily, but also supplied power to the thousands of households in Cambodia by building high voltage transmission lines and rural grids, contributed magnificently to the target “Year 2030 Lights Up Every Village and Countryside In Cambodia”. Prime Minister Hun Sen said: Youth is the future and hope of Cambodia; CHMC established the “CHMC Scholarship” to train young professional talents for Electricité Du Cambodge (EDC), provided vocational training to young people. Prime Minister Hun Sen hoped that CHMC would join more in Cambodian infrastructure construction, and contribute to the young talents training in Cambodia.
