CHMC positively plunged into the “One Belt One Road” construction tide, and contracted the Cambodia Rural Grid Extension(Phase Ⅲ and Phase Ⅳ) EPC Project, which was funded by the preferential export buyer's credit from Chinese government. The contract of this electricity transmission and transformation project officially came into force on December 2, 2015, with a timescale of 36 months, including a 1288km medium voltage transmission line, a 220km-115kV high voltage transmission line, and a 115/35kV substation, spreading through 11 provinces in Cambodia.

During the Project implementing, the Project Team (affiliated to Electrical Power Engineering Business Unit, CHMC) all along insisted on Five Excellency in safety, management, quality, timescale and cost, and completed the Project as planned after two years’ hard work. The completion of the Project contributed to the implementation of the Strategy “Deliver Electrical Power to Each Village” enacted by Cambodian government, and established a good foundation for CHMC to further develop in Cambodian power industry.
