On October 13, 2018, the EPC Contract of Tajikistan Aluminum Company (abbreviated as TALCO) Caustic Soda Plant Project (generally contracted and to be constructed by CHMC), with a contract value of USD196,000,000.00, was signed in Dushanbe, Capital of Tajikistan. CHMC Chairman of the Board and President, Mr. Xiao Ping, and TALCO Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. S. Kabirov, and General Manager of TALCO Management, Mr. Jabrov, respectively on behalf of each Party, signed the Contract. 

The Contract was signed just when the Seventeenth Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Dushanbe, and when Chinese Premier of the State Council, Mr. Li Keqiang, officially visited Tajikistan. Both Chinese government and Tajikistan government paid a high attention to this Project. 

As a supporting project, after the construction of the Caustic Soda Plant is completed, it will highly improve and guarantee the production of the existing Fluoride Salt Plant, with a promising prospect. The signing of this Contract will further consolidate the cooperation-ship between CHMC and TALCO, have a great significance for CHMC to achieve “Regional Rolling Development” in Tajikistan.
