On September 27, 2018, Deputy General Manager of EDL-GEN, Mr. Komonchan Phetasa, sent CHMC the Letter of Praise, showing their recognition and thanks for CHMC’s industrious devotion and hard work in the construction of Laos 230kV Nabong-Nam Ngum1-Hinheup Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project.

In the Letter, Mr. Komonchan Phetasa stated that currently the Laos 230kV Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project had been accomplished ahead of schedule and put into operation. He showed his praise for the diligence, wisdom, conscientiousness, credibility and integrity embodied in CHMC Project Department, and for the good cooperation with the Project Department. He believed that the two parties would have a more spacious cooperation in the future.

The Laos 230kV Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project was the first EPC project generally contracted by CHMC in Laos. On July 28, 2014, this project contract was signed in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, witnessed by Chinese President, Mr. Xi Jinping, and Lao President, Mr. Choummaly Sayasone. This project lied in Vientiane City, the capital of Laos, Vientiane Province. It was built to transmit the power generated in Nam Ngum1 Hydropower Station Extension and other new-built hydropower stations in northern part of Laos. And it was also a part of the Loop Power Net served to stabilize the power supply in Vientiane City, playing a significant role to the Lao state grid.
