On November 6, 2018, the Kick - off Meeting of CHMC Cambodia East Loop Line (Phase II) Power Transmission and Transformation Project [the rest of West-south Loop Line Project and East Loop Line Project, abbreviated as East Loop Line (Phase II) hereinafter], was convoked in the boardroom of Electricité Du Cambodge(EDC). CHMC Deputy President, Mr. Wang Weiguo, attended the Meeting.

The contract scope of this Project includes: the construction of 5 substations, the extension construction of 9 substations, the construction of 230 kV power transmission line (85 kilometers), and 115 kV power transmission line (72 kilometers). When this Project is accomplished, the 230kV power transmission line in the whole Cambodia shall be connected, and the 230kV main grid power transmission line shall preliminarily come into being, which shall greatly enhance the power transmission capacity in Cambodia, enormously improve the current situation of the power supply in the areas around Phnom Penh, as well as in the North-eastern area and the Western area of Cambodia.  

CHMC has deeply ploughed in Cambodia market for many years, and has contracted and implemented many power transmission and transformation projects, successfully realized the “Regional Rolling Development” Strategy in Cambodia.
