During January 12-13, 2019, CHMC Board Chairman Mr. Xiao Ping arrived at Laos Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Station Project inspecting and directing work.

In the afternoon of January 12, a work meeting was held in the Project site, in which the Project Department reported the construction progress, safety and quality management, cost management and control, progress control, and others. Mr. Xiao Ping stated that the Laos Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Station Project was a major project in the Belt and Road construction, and it was also the largest EPC project under implementing by CHMC, which was widely noticed by all parties. He required that the Project Department shall lay stress on the safety management, well implement the Project and complete related management and control work, make persistent efforts, to ensure that the expected objectives in the Project would be achieved. Besides, Mr. Xiao Ping required that the Project Department shall create favorable conditions for young staff to grow, train more excellent project management talents for CHMC.   

On January 13, Mr. Xiao Ping went deep in the Project site, inspecting the plant and other areas, directing work.
