On April 28, 2019, when he led a delegation to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), Cambodian Prime Minister Mr. Hun Sen met SINOMACH-HE President Mr. Lu Wenjun and CHMC President Mr. Xiao Ping, as well as the retinue, in Beijing.

Mr. Lu Wenjun introduced Prime Minister Hun Sen the investment situations of the power station, and the implementation situations of the power transmission and transformation EPC projects, in Cambodia, which were carried out by CHMC (a subsidiary of SINOMACH-HE). Mr. Lu Wenjun said that since Year 2007 under the kind care of Prime Minister Hun Sen, and the full support by all levels of Chinese government and Cambodian government, CHMC cooperated with Electricité du Cambodge (EDC) with a common effort, successively accomplished the Tatay Hydropower Station BOT Project, several backbone power transmission and transformation lines and substations, the rural grid extension projects and other important constructions for Cambodian State Grid, which contributed to the rapid development of Cambodian economy. Subsequently, Mr. Lu Wenjun proposed to Prime Minister Hun Sen to continue to carry out the construction of related projects.  

Prime Minister Hun Sen fully affirmed the contributions that CHMC actively participated in the construction of Cambodia's electricity infrastructure, perfected the layout of the national power grid, improved the power supply capacity, etc. Prime Minister Hun Sen welcomed the project construction plans proposed by CHMC. He expressed that these planes would be energetically researched according to Cambodia's development needs, and he hoped that CHMC further strengthen the communication with EDC, work together to promote the follow-up work.

CHMC Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy President Mr. Zhu Xu, and CHMC Deputy President Mr. Wang Weiguo, attended the meeting.
