Picture 1. Mr. Zheng Hansong, Accepted the Prize, on behalf of CHMC
On July 18, 2019, the Laos 230kV Nabong-Nam Ngum 1-Hinheup Electrical Power Transmission and Transformation Project (abbreviated as Laos 230kV Electrical Power Transmission and Transformation Project hereafter) contracted and constructed by CHMC, was praised by Laos Ministry of Mines and Energy. During the EDL (Electricite du Laos) Summary and Recognition of the General Assembly in Mid-2019, Laos Minister of Mines and Energy, Mr. Khammany Inthirath, awarded CHMC the Certificate of Honor, to praise the outstanding performance and contribution which CHMC had achieved and made during its implementation of the Laos 230kV Electrical Power Transmission and Transformation Project. CHMC Deputy President, Mr. Zheng Hansong, accepted the prize, on behalf of CHMC.
This Project once obtained a Letter of Praise from the Project owner, EDL. Currently, the Project Warranty Period was coming to an end, and the Project implementation work was affirmed by Laos Ministry of Mines and Energy.

The Laos 230kV Electrical Power Transmission and Transformation Project is the first EPC project CHMC implemented in Laos. The Project contract was signed by CHMC and EDL on July 28, 2014, with the joint witness of Chinese President, Mr. Xi Jinping, and Lao President, Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Project lies in Vientiane City,Vientiane province, Laos. It is a supporting project for the Nam Ngum 1 Hydropower Station extension and several newly-built power stations in northern part of Laos transmitting the power to the south, which is significant for the construction of the Laos state grid.
