On September 2, 2019, CHMC received the Performance Certificate of Laos 230kV Nabong-Nam Ngum 1-Hinheup Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project, signed and issued by EDL(Electricite du Laos),which marked that the warranty period of the Project (the first EPC Project generally contracted and constructed by CHMC in Laos) ended and the Project was entirely and smoothly accomplished.

The Project Contract was signed on July 28, 2014, with the joint witness of Chinese President, Mr. Xi Jinping, and Lao President, Mr. Choummaly Sayasone. The Project lies in Vientiane City,Vientiane province, Laos. It is a supporting project for the Nam Ngum 1 Hydropower Station extension and several newly-built power stations in northern part of Laos transmitting the power to the south, which is also a part of the loop line to stabilize the power supply in the capital Vientiane City, and is significant for the Laos state grid.

CHMC carefully organized and implemented the Project, optimized the Project management, overcame many difficulties never encountered in the past, finally achieved the scheduled objectives in the Project. From August 2016 when the bank loaned for the first time for the Project, to May 2018 when the Project was accomplished, the time schedule of the Project was shortened 18 months, compared with the stipulated one in the Contract. The Project implantation work was recognized and affirmed by the owner and Lao government. CHMC received the Letter of Thanks written by EDL, and the Certificate of Honor issued by Laos Ministry of Mines and Energy.

The successful implementation of this Project, laid a solid foundation for CHMC to carry out the follow-up projects in Lao, and to deeply develop the markets in other countries.
