On September 18, 2019, Interim Secretary of the Party Committee and Board Chairmen of SINOMACH-HE (SINOMACH Heavy Equipment Group Co., Ltd.), Mr. Lu Wenjun, paid an official visit to Mr. Wang Wentian, Chinese Ambassador in Cambodia. During the visit,Mr. Lu Wenjun was invited to meet Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea, Secretary General (Minister attached to the Prime Minister) of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (abbreviated as CDC).

 

Mr. Wang Wentian stated: the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia has a long history; Cambodia is politically stable and its economy is very vigorous, which forms an important fulcrum in Chinese 'Belt and Road Initiative'; Cambodian government has long been committed to the economic construction, actively participating in the construction of "Belt and Road", and connecting it with Cambodian “Rectangular Strategy”, to attract more Chinese high-quality investment; Recent years, Chinese enterprises invested and constructed many projects in Cambodian energy, power and other industries, which ameliorated the situation of power shortage in Cambodia.     

 

Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea stated: welcome Chinese enterprises to invest in Cambodia, and CDC will give a certain policy support. He hoped that SINOMACH-HE would continue to increase investment in Cambodia, and make contributions to the economic development of Cambodia.

 

Mr. Lu Wenjun expressed thanks to Chinese Embassy in Cambodia and CDC-Cambodian investment administration authority, for their full support to SINOMACH-HE. He said SINOMACH-HE would comply with the relevant laws and regulations of China and Cambodia, carry out investment activities accordingly. Mr. Lu Wenjun also probed into the feasibilities to invest and construct related projects in Cambodia.

 

President of CMIC (China Machine-Building International Corporation), and Deputy President of CHMC, Mr. Wang Weiguo, and others accompanied the visit.
