On March 23, 2020, the epidemic prevention materials donated by CHMC, were officially delivered to Electricité du Cambodge (EDC). Dr. Praing Chulasa, Deputy Managing Director of EDC, presided over the handover ceremony. He showed sincere thanks to CHMC, on behalf of Mr. Keo Rottanak, Managing Director of EDC. Dr. Praing Chulasa stated that China-Cambodia Friendship had a distant origin and a long development, and the sincere cooperation between CHMC and EDC in the past over 10 years, witnessed the growing friendship between the two countries. While in the most severe situation of the new coronary pneumonia in China, by precisely organizing and scientifically managing, CHMC overcame many difficulties, such as restriction of the project implementers dispatch and goods delivery. CHMC guaranteed that the epidemic prevention and the project implementation were both well-done. Currently, the Projects contracted and constructed by CHMC in Cambodia, were progressing steadily as planned. When the epidemic situation in Cambodia got worse, CHMC, at the first time, donated EDC the most urgently-needed materials, which was the true expression of the friendship between CHMC and EDC. Dr. Praing Chulasa hoped that CHMC and EDC would further their cooperation, make joint efforts, to achieve the final victory of the epidemic prevention.

With the worldwide spread of the new coronary pneumonia, Cambodia was also affected, and the shortage of epidemic prevention materials on the market was growing. While guiding project departments in Cambodia in the scientific prevention with an accurate strategy, and doing well in their own epidemic prevention, CHMC actively implemented the anti-epidemic calls, performed its social responsibility, donated the epidemic prevention materials to EDC who was the partner of CHMC for many years. Through multiple efforts, the procurement and forwarding of the first batch 50,000-piece disposable medical masks, were completed within 3 days, and delivered to EDC officially.

This donation was strongly supported and assisted by the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, and the donation was recognized and praised by the leaders of the Economic and Commercial Office.
