On July 9, 2020, Cambodia Siem Reap- Kampong Thom 230kV Electricity Transmission and Transformation Project, which was contracted and constructed by CHMC, was successfully electrified at the first time, and officially put into operation.
The work scope includes the Siem Reap- Kampong Thom 230kV electricity transmission and transformation line (135km) in the Cambodian West-south Loop Net Project, the new-built 230kV Kampong Thom Substation and Siem Reap Substation in the East Loop Net (Phase Ⅱ) Project.
After completing, the Project would work as a pivot, linking Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Preah Vihear and other important cities in Cambodia together, significantly relieve the local power shortage, lay a solid foundation for the next step to realize the power transmission of Tonle Sap Loop Net.
Since the construction began, all staffs of CHMC Project Department made concerted efforts, overcame difficulties, such as the new corona pneumonia epidemic, the rainy season construction and the slow land requisition, etc., safely and efficiently completed the construction of Project with a high quality.
