CHMC Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Station Was Rewarded “Certificate of Appreciation” by EDC for the Outstanding Performance of Power Generation in 2020

On December 16, 2020, to praise Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Station which is invested and operated by CHMC, for its over-fulfilling the designed power generation in Year 200, for its outstanding contributions by providing the clean, high-quality electric power to the economic and social development in Cambodia for continuous years, Electricité Du Cambodge (abbreviated as EDC hereinafter), awarded “Certificate of Appreciation” to Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Station  for its outstanding performance of power generation in 2020.

 

During the first half of Year 2020, affected by the outbreak of new coronary pneumonia, Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Limited (a subsidiary to CHMC, abbreviated as CTHL hereinafter) strictly prevented and controlled the epidemic situation in the camp area and the plant area, at the same time, guaranteed the normal power generation and operation. CTHL firmly established the concept“Guarantee Safety, Generate More Power and Enhance Benefits”,made great efforts to overcome the impact of the epidemic, completed the unit maintenance work in a high-quality and efficient way, and fully guaranteed the power generation. During the second half of Year 2020, the continuous heavy rainfall brought busy joy to CTHL, all staffs worked together in the flood control, 24 hours on duty monitoring the flood situation, and the power generation was in full swing. While ensuring the safety of production and flood control, CTHL once again over-fulfilled the power generation task, excessing the designed power generation capacity.

 

By 00:00, December 16, 2020, Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Station this year had generated power of 879,000,000 kWh, 103.53% of the designed power generation capacity per year, over-fulfilling the generation tasks for 6 consecutive years, achieving the goal of 'Double Victory', both in the production safety and in the epidemic prevention and control.
