Recently, the newly-built Chroy Changvar Substation and the Phnom Penh North Extension Substation which were contracted and constructed by CHMC in Cambodia East Loop Net (Phase Ⅱ) Project, by EPC mode, achieved one-time live operation.

 

This year, all staffs in CHMC Project Department confronted difficulties, managed and coordinated scientifically, overcame the shortage of technical personnel and equipment delivery obstacles and other difficulties caused by the new crown pneumonia, successfully completed the construction of 2 Substations with the indomitable spirit. Up to now, the 2 Substations have been running continuously and stably for more than 72 hours.

 

The Chroy Changvar Substation and the Phnom Penh North Extension Substation are both lying in the vicinity of Phnom Penh, Capital of Cambodia, which is an important power hub in Cambodia's State Grid. The operation of the 2 Substations is of great significance to effectively alleviate the shortage of electricity in the dry season in the surrounding area of Phnom Penh, to improve the living standard of local residents and to promote the local economic and social development.
