On the afternoon of December 10, 2021, Deputy Managing Director of Electricité du Cambodge (EDC)，Dr. Praing Chulasa，visited the Sihanoukville Power Transmission and Transformation Project Site, inspected and guided the work in GIS2 and GIS3 Substations. Dr. Praing Chulasa said that in the face of multiple difficulties during the epidemic period, the joint Sihanoukville Project Department of CHMC and CMIC(CHINA MACHINE-BUILDING INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION) still made remarkable achievements, and the Project implementation was worthy of recognition. Dr. Praing Chulasa acknowledged the current progress of the Project and was confident that the two new 115kV GIS substations would be put into operation by the end of January 2022.

On the morning of the same day, Mr. Kong Puthy, Director of Transmission Department of EDC, also inspected the GIS3 and GIS2 Substations of the Sihanoukville Power Transmission and Transformation Project. Mr. Kong Puthy affirmed the progress and quality of the Project and thanked the Project Department for their efforts in the development of Cambodia's power industry.
