On January 12, 2023, CHMC received a letter of thanks from China Northwest Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Consulting Co., LTD., the contractor of CHMC's Laos Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Station Project, expressing sincere gratitude to CHMC Project Department for providing support for its overseas project site employee's emergency cross-border transport and timely treatment.

On October 30, 2022, a staff member of China Northwest Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Consulting Co., LTD. at the site of Laos Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Station Project，suffered an acute cerebral haemorrhage and fell ill at work. CHMC Project Department acted quickly, coordinated all the forces, and opened the green channel for the sick employee at the first time. It only took 12 hours from the departure of the employee to arrive at the domestic hospital, and pressed the accelerator button for this urgent life relay, so that the employee was efficiently transferred, smoothly returned to China and received timely treatment, finally saving his life.
