In the collection and selection of typical cases of 2022 Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Action organized by China Dalian Senior Management College of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, CHMC won the third prize for 'Cambodia Tatay Hydropower Station Participating in the Commercialization Path of International Carbon Neutrality'. Related documents were submitted by CHMC.

Over the years, Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Limited (a subsidiary of CHMC), has actively participated in the international carbon neutrality action and continuously strengthened the carbon asset management. Through the Clean Development Mechanism of the United Nations, CHMC has carried out cooperation with relevant enterprises in the European Union market. In 2014, the Certified Carbon Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement was reached, and the first carbon emission reduction transaction was completed in 2016. Till now, 3.3 million tons of carbon emission reduction transactions have been completed. It has made positive contributions to raising awareness of carbon emissions, global warming and climate change, attracting more enterprises to join the clean energy industry, promoting sustainable development in Cambodia and reducing the cost of greenhouse gas emission reduction in developed countries.

More than 600 cases were selected, and the winning cases will be included in books and teaching materials related to Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality.
