On March 11, 2024, the first elbow tube of the first generation unit of CHMC Cambodian Upper Tatay Hydropower Station, was successfully lifted, marking the full start of the unit installation.

The total installed capacity of the Upper Tatay Hydropower Station is 150 MW, composed of two 75 MW mixed-flow turbine generators. The elbow tube steel liner is the lowest part of the unit, and together with the cone tube, it takes the role of smoothly channeling the flow of the runner outlet to the downstream and recovering part of the energy of the runner outlet.

Before hoisting, the supervision, installation companies and the manufacturer of Upper Tatay Hydropower Station, jointly conducted a careful and scientific review of the hoisting plan, and strengthened the safety control and technical disclosure during the on-site hoisting process, and the installation work was successfully completed.

Next, the Upper Tatay Hydropower will continue to scientifically plan, carefully organize, and actively promote the implementation of the Project, strictly control the safety and quality, and ensure that the construction of the Upper Tatay Hydropower Station is completed on schedule and in good quality.
